Extraordinary is Your Memory

Did you know that your brain can record thousands of new data every second? There is alway space in your brain for what ever you want to store.

Professor Loriba of Northwestern University says that there are one billion neurons in our brain which are also connected with thousands of neurons. Thus the connections are at least one trillion. If a neuron stores only a single memory unit then the capacity of our brain can never be utilized in full in our whole life.

If we compare it with a flash drive or ipod’s storage capacity then it would be at least 2.5 petabytes, which is equivalent to several million gigabytes. If you think of your brain as a video recorder, then it can record for three hundred years continuously! The human brain really is that powerful. (Scientific American, 19th April, 2010)

Despite having such a super storage, you are continuously saying “I cannot memorize”, “I cannot remember” etc. and trying hard to remember. Now think- is it your brain or your wrong command to the brain that is responsible for your poor memory?
